Mission, Values, Vision

Our Mission

Coral Heart Counseling, LLC, is a therapeutic counseling, training, and consulting private practice whose overarching mission is to impact, assist, and support historically marginalized, Black, Brown, and Diverse communities in healing and discovering how to reach inward and outward greatness so that social justice and generational growth can occur. We believe that this will ultimately impact all of society in a positive way and create communities centered around uplifting and accepting the various differences and similarities that we all have. Our goal is to accomplish this through providing warm, welcoming, and empowering spaces for evolving to occur across cultures and backgrounds in individual, group, school, university, organizational, and corporate settings. Additionally, Coral Heart Counseling serves to assist growing therapists and other people helpers in the development of their skillset centered around our mission to create a greater impact and provide more services.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to be transparent, inclusive, open, realistic, and social justice oriented.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a practice that assists in the healing of generational and emotional injuries, enhances emotional intelligence, and stimulates relational and professional advancement of historically marginalized, Black, Brown, and Diverse communities. Coral Heart Counseling’s additional vision is to serve as a training hub for clinicians and other social justice strategists who strive to drive our mission forward.

Our Values

  • To put the historically marginalized and diverse experience at the center of most, if not all, ways of thinking and working that relates to social justice and a systems perspective

  • To hold space for historically marginalized and diverse individuals to develop, mourn, and heal

  • To hold space for societal entities (i.e. individuals, groups, schools, universities, organizations, and companies) to heal, empathize, and shift their understanding of historically marginalized and diverse individuals so that compassion can be a driving force for societal growth

  • To stimulate societal entities, (i.e. individuals, groups, schools, universities, organizations, and companies) in altering their manner of working with historically marginalized and diverse individuals so that growth and achievement can be a shared reality amongst everyone in society as opposed to a select few

  • To empathize with and see historically marginalized and diverse individuals as capable human beings, just as the rest of society, filled with strengths and weaknesses that lead to successes and lessons

  • To act with integrity and honesty

  • To celebrate differences in lifestyle and culture

  • To acknowledge how experiences and a person’s life trajectory is connected to the movement of systems in society
