I am a warm, caring, and compassionate psychotherapist who assists and guides others towards growth, making different and difficult choices, and healing. I am passionate about antiracism, social justice, and human rights; and I consider myself culturally, developmentally, and trauma informed. I work with individuals and groups who are overwhelmed with life’s obstacles and daily antics, and who experience or have experienced depression, anxiety, imposter syndrome, low self-esteem, workplace distress, relational conflicts, and overall stress. I also have experience in working with people who have had exposure to various traumatic situations that has left them feeling less trusting of the world.
I utilize various modalities, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Psychodynamic Therapy, and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to guide others in their healing journey so that they can become their best selves, more mentally aware, and mentally freer than before. These techniques are meant to bring out strengths, show people their power, provide answers and solutions to many struggles, help move people forward from the effects of past emotional injuries and traumatic occurrences, and allow one to see their value in this world. I also provide guidance on difficult issues that my clientele may be faced with so that they can decide what is best.
My goal is to provide others with a safe space and necessary skills to achieve their goals. My aim is for others to have enhanced emotional intelligence, relational/relationship success, and professional growth. My hope is that people who I counsel, whether that be through individual or group work, can experience freedom of the mind, feeling at ease, and self-love well after therapy has ended.
